In 2001, Miracle of Women (MOW) became a non-profit, charitable organization which was initially organized to host a conference where women could share Sisterhood if only for a weekend.
As we’ve grown, so have our goals. We plan to expand services for women and their families throughout the year to enhance and secure education in recovery by conducting workshops, seminars, luncheons and by providing assistance where needed.
We currently serve over 600+ women at a four day conference.
The conference begins on a Thursday evening and kicks off with an exciting and music filled ‘Speaker Jam’. Throughout the weekend, the ladies hear speakers, attend workshops and parties, and participate in the entertainment.
The conference is highlighted with an elegant banquet meeting and ends with a spiritual breakfast meeting on Sunday morning.
We tried hosting the conference at different hotels throughout the years but the women insist that we stay at the Torrance Marriott and so we became a part of the Marriott family.
To ensure that as many women as possible can attend the MOW Conference, a fundraiser is held yearly so that women who are experiencing a hardship can enjoy this spiritual experience. We also donate a portion of all proceeds generated at the conference to various recovery fellowships.
Over the years the ‘OGs’ have moved on to assist in the background but are still very much of service to MOW. Below are the current committee members.
